We recently got some Paula Deen spice grinders (things like cinnamon and sugar, onion and sea salt, etc.), and then some Paula Deen baking mixes like muffins, brownies, cake. I saw her magazine on our magazine rack and I told my boss, "She's taking over the world!" He laughed and said he wonders why she doesn't come out with her own butter since she uses that in every single recipe. While I was watching Kathryn today, I was leafing through a magazine and found what looks like a really good key lime pie recipe:

1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
2 Tb. granulated sugar
4 Tb. butter, melted

Preheat oven to 325, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter and press firmly into 10" pie plate. Bake at 325 for 15 minutes until lightly browned, then remove and let stand at least 15 minutes before filling.

2 14 oz. cans sweetened condensed milk
1 1/4 cups key lime juice
2 large eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup either creme fraiche or sour cream
2 Tb. powdered sugar

Whisk together the condensed milk, lime juice and eggs until well blended. Pour into crust and bake at 325 for 20 minutes until set. Chill 4 or more hours.

Combine creme fraiche or sour cream and powdered sugar and spread evenly over pie before serving.LuAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17220874989328222034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7297866669767329874.post-64819469159767262442010-05-03T09:11:00.726-07:002010-05-03T09:11:00.726-07:00Very true about Paula's recipes. And she always says (voice dripping honey) "Of course, ya'll can't eat like this all the time!" but that is all she ever cooks!Diane Fishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15763196426227450030noreply@blogger.com
